Hello SORVO,
As summer gives way to fall, we are preparing for our bi-montly meetings to be held on the third Sunday of September and November. We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has renewed their membership dues so far this year. In addition, we would like to nudge those of you who have not yet done so. Dues, which are $15 have served as our primary, most consistent source of fundraising which enable us to keep the Peace Corps sprit alive in the community and around the world by
- sending care packages to current volunteers from the region
- supporting Peace Corps projects
- hosting the annual CARV / SORVO picnic
- maintain our new website
We are an affiliate of the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA), and as such some of the benefits of SORVO membership include access to NPCA resources, voting rites at our business meetings, and most importantly a sense of ownership in our wonderful group.
